We are one of the very few rabbitry s in Ohio that raise Altex Rabbits which are a newer breed of meat rabbits which produce young that can gain weight quicker which makes them go to market a week or two earlier than a New Zealand or California. For best results an Altex buck is breed to NZ or Cal does which the young are all sold for meat however we do also breed for Altex bucks (Altex buck and Altex doe) but we don t have a lot of those litters since the best results are when we breed the Altex buck to our Cal does.
