Joey (3 years old) is a Domestic Short Hair Cat. Hello my name is Joey I arrived here in March of 2016. This is my second time here. My first human mom loved me very very much. She did absolutely everything possible to try and make me as comfortable as possible in my home but the changes going on around me were simply too much for me to handle. She didn t want me to be stressed anymore so after a lot of thinking she brought me here in hopes that I would find the perfect home. I was adopted into what we all thought would be an ideal home but I was returned after only 4 days due to an allergy. As you can imagine I am very confused by all of this. My ideal home is an adult home with a solid routine that seldom changes. I need to be the only pet if possible. I want to be the center of your world You see I have a condition called FLUTD or Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease. FLUTD is a broad term that describes a collection of conditions that can affect the bladder and urethra of cats. When I get stressed out I can have a & quot flare up& quot that causes me to have painful urinary crystals To keep my stress at a minimum I need to be the only animal in an adult home. I need a nice strict routine. I like to eat at the same time every day nap at the same time every day and spend a lot of time with my favorite human. Since being at the shelter my behaviors have improved immensely My adopters will need to keep me on my special diet to ensure that I am getting exactly what I need to keep me at my best health.
