COURTESY POST This beautiful long-haired black beauty is GRAYSON he is approx 2 yrs old. A week and a half ago I thought I found him but actually I believe he found his way to me He is is soooo people friendly that I know he was previously somebody s house cat but was thrown out on the streets. He was so hungry disheveled flea bitten and of course NOT neutered. I noticed scars on his face and all over his body of scratches along with an open wound on the back of his left leg. He immediately let me hold him and leaned against my chest and right there I knew he was coming home with me. My friend and I fed him and he ate like he hasn t seen food in weeks. I am providing his care and shelter and much LOVE with help from my good friend and from Kopy Kat Sanctuary. He is now neutered has all of his shots and is free of fleas and ear mites. He s so friendly a great eater and litter box trained. He tested negative for feline leukemia but positive for FIV. THIS POOR GUY...... NOTHING IS EASY. It makes us sad because we know how hard it can be to get FIV kitties adopted because people do not understand FIV GRAYSON is super friendly and can be with other non FIV cats as long as they are not aggressive as it is transferred only by deep bite wounds or from momma cat to kitten in utero (99% of those kittens clear the virus by 6 mos of age ). Kopy Kat Sanctuary recommends slowly introducing any new kitty into a new home inhabited by a cat or two already. FIV makes him a little different I guess in some eyes but it really shouldn t -- It definitely doesn t make him any less valued worthy or lovable And he has a good chance to live a very long and healthy life as other cats. I have him with my cat but I cannot keep him forever because of where I live. I am in college and at present all my life decisions are not yet my own. As I said my friends are helping me as well as KKS we are seeking a foster home first and then a loving furrever home for this dear sweet boy.Kopy Kat will pay for his medical care until he is adopted and will always keep in touch with his adopters. I will provide his food and litter if that helps someone fabulous step forward to foster or adopt him. He especially loves his catnip and his fish toys he loves attention I have truly never met a cat that has just wanted to be loved more than this little guy.
