Dory is a sweetie. Dory is a very nervous shy and undersocialized girl who is overwhelmed in new situations and needs time to adapt and learn to trust. Dory came to the shelter with large and painful inguinal hernias and underwent intensive surgery by our vets to repair these hernias. Surgery went very well but Dory needed an extended period of recovery before she became ready for adoption. Thanks to Friends of the Shelter Dory has fully recovered from her surgery in a foster home and is meeting new people every few days in an attempt to slowly but surely show her that new friends are good things. Dory is now ready for adoption physically and is looking for a special someone who will be patient with her as she continues to grow socially mentally. Dory can be quite a snuggler when she finely lets her guard down - her affection is worth waiting for. No kids under 12years of age. Fenced yard required.
