SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe HR Generalist Orchid Oregon reports to the Sr. Manager HR Orchid Oregon who has overall responsibility for HR. The Orchid Oregon site is a manufacturing site with approximately 270 team members which produces machined products for orthopedic implants customers.Is responsible for supporting the business and operations leaders and team members at the Orchid Oregon site. Implements the One Orchid HR strategy and goals with the business leaders and team members in the defined area of responsibility partnering with and leveraging common processes tools systems and support from the HR centers of excellence. Supports and guides our culture of positive employee relations. Under direction performs duties to administer Human Resource activities to maintain and improve HR processes including but not limited to payroll recruitment policy benefits training and regulatory compliance in accordance with established policies practices and procedures. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDrives accomplishment of business and HR strategy and goals through trusted partnerships with the business leaders and teams in the areas of responsibility. Provides input to and implements the Global HR Strategy identifies and creates processes tools and analytics that support achievement of goals within the HR Key Focus Areas. Works with HR COE teams to develop implement and continuously improve processes tools and systems. Interpret and explain human resource policies procedures laws standards and regulations and support supervisors in consistent application ensuring compliance. Maintain timekeeping data including electronically approving hours worked making adjustments to time recorded and entering time off requests all with written supervisor approvals and ensure compliance to attendance and paid time off policies. Process payroll reports to send to payroll team. Maintain HRIS including recording new hires terminations transfers promotions wage salary changes etc. Respond to requests for verification of employment. Administer FMLA OFLA and other protected leaves. Administer training programs including tracking and maintaining employee training records and training status. Conduct new employee orientations. Administer employee recognition programs. Perform other duties as required. JOB EXPERIENCE2-7 Years HR experience including working as an HR business partner generalist or specialist in a manufacturing organization Experience managing employee relations conflict resolution performance improvement plans Use of performance-based metrics Capable with HR database or system. Experience supporting organizational change preferably across businesses a plus Experience with process and continuous improvement Experience with HR transformation a plus KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong coaching and influencing skills Excellent customer service orientation Strong attention to detail and follow up task completion skills Excellent communication skills - verbal written including some presentation skills High energy and self-motivated demonstrated action orientation Strong Advanced Microsoft Office skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects tasks effectively business Schedule flexibility as needed to support team members across all shifts Ability to travel to Orchid Santa Ana as required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor degree in HR Business or related field.
