Paid Research Study of Pregnancy Health and Motherhood

WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY VANCOUVERResearchers at Washington State University invite pregnant women to participate in a study of pregnancy health and motherhood.Participation includes 3 visits with our research team visit 1 is during your 3rd trimester visit 2 is during the first month after your baby is born and visit 3 is when your baby is 6 months old. At each meeting you will complete an online survey at home.At visit 1 members of our research team will come to your home for about 60 minutes to measure heart reate take a small hair sample and collect other information. At visit 2 members of our research team will come to your home for 30 minutes to ask some questions. At visit 3 you and your baby will come to our laboratory on the Washington State University Vancouver campus for 60-90 minutes. You and your baby will interact with each other and with members of our research team. WE want to learn about how parents and children s bodies respond during social interactions so we will use skin sensors to measure things like heart rate on both you and your baby. We also want to collect a biological sample from your baby via cheek swab. You will receive 30 for participating in visit 1 30 for participating in visit 2 and 40 for participating in visit 3. Your child will also receive a small thank you toy at the end of visit 3. Your participation will help us learn about health during pregnancy and the first months of motherhood.
