Position DescriptionSUMMARY OF POSITION Responsible for receiving all raw materials sub-components components purchased devices packaging material components returning from outsourced vendors and all other inventory items which go into Orchid Orthopedic Solutions (Orchid) manufactured product. Responsible for pulling finished components and issuing them to shop work orders. Responsible for sawing raw materials and delivering to specified production areas. Must be able to generate and maintain data from the control of documentation.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assure compliance to Orchid requirements during the cp crib and raw material processes receiving and shipping processes as prescribed by the Orchid Quality System. Perform cycle counts and or physical inventories as required. Physically load and unload products as necessary at the loading docks. Review packing slips for accuracy against the original purchase order and physical count. Proficient use of the production management database system as it applies to cp crib raw material receiving and shipping scripts. Communicate nonconformance to Quality Control. Assure part identification as part of receipt function. Maintain good working relationships with other employees. Demonstrate basic skills of level I materials specialist. Cutting Raw Materials as directed by schedule. Perform other duties as required or directed by the Department Supervisor or Lead.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma One (1) to two (2) years related work experience in Inventory control (cp crib and raw material) Receiving Shipping Manufacturing or Quality Control related function or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate s degree preferred. Experience with a medical device manufacturer preferredSKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED Self-motivated and detailed oriented Ability to read and interpret basic blueprint requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must feel comfortable using a computer including MS Office skills email and imputing data into ORCHID production management database for product trackingPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Required frequently to stand walk and use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls Required occasionally to reach with hands and arms. Must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Corrected vision of 20 20 preferred. Able to work in a fast-paced quality oriented environment. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined for the position. Must be able to drive a forkliftOTHER REQUIREMENTS Must submit to and pass background and substance abuse tests.
