Position DescriptionSUMMARY OF POSITION Responsible for the process of shipping product to our customers with required documentation.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assure compliance to Orchid requirements in record keeping. Perform shipping duties utilizing the ERP system Ensure all customer required documentation is included in the shipping packet Maintain accurate documentation at all times ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices Support the shipment of goods produced to our customer base Communicate nonconformance to Quality Engineering and Quality Management Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times Required to forward a requisition for shipping materials to the department supervisor Maintain good working relationships with other employees and inspectors Other duties as assigned Perform other duties as required or directed by the Department Supervisor or Lead.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma One (1) to two (2) years related work experience as a Shipping Clerk or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate s degree preferred. Qualified candidates should have one or more years experience in a manufacturing facility a good knowledge of inspection techniques in the machining industry and previous experience applying inspection instructions are preferred.SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED High degree of general craftsmanship and work ethic Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exhibit a knowledge and experience of fabrication materials techniques and tools Must feel comfortable using a computer including MS Office skills email and imputing data into Orchid s production management database for product tracking PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Required frequently to use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls. Required occasionally to reach with hands and arms Must occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds. Corrected vision of 20 20 (may be with eyeglasses or contact lenses) and must have normal color vision. Able to work in a fast-paced quality oriented environment. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined for the position.OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must submit to and pass background and substance abuse tests. Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States through eVerify. Must adhere to the Company Code of Conduct and Core Values. Must follow designated safety rules and regulations.
