Newly Single Mom Desperate for Help Getting Back on Her Feet

Hello out there I want everyone to know that this is being asked for out of the concern for my children and their well being. I have never done anything like this before in my life and I am ashamed of myself fo rhaving tgo do it now. I have recently made the most deifficult decision of my whole life in that I have left my abusive husband of 21 years. People ask all the time why did you stay for so long and the honest answe is I just don t know I wish I had known in the beginning what I know now. This has been anything but easy. THe kids and I are safe for now as he is in jail for the latest incident which by the way will keep him there for a considerable amount of time this time... Thats how bad its been.But we are struggling and stand to lose everything.I am currently looking for work and am educated having recieved my bachelors degree for Eastern Kentucky University in 1999. I am drowning in debt my kids have things for school they need the electric is going to be turned off soon I am not even sure how we are going to get groceries. Ive applied for all the goverment assistance i can get but who are they trying to help anyway because they arent helping me at all...I m not asking for a hand out In fact if someone knows or has a job opening or position anywhere I am trying desperatly to find work. I am hoping so much that someone will see this have a little compassion in their heart and give this mom a chance to make a life herself and her 2 awesome kids... Thanks so very much
