Job Title Delivery Driver for Local Firewood StartupSummary Woodchuck Delivery is hiring Woodchuck Delivery is a family owned and operated firewood delivery company. At Woodchuck we work hard to bring an old world commodity into the 21st century.This is not your typical delivery driver job. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working with their hands breaking a sweat and having the satisfaction of a hard day s work. We are expanding and are recruiting hard working self starting and friendly individuals to join our team Applicants should expect very physical work.What You ll Do Drive and maintain company vehicle to deliver firewood and other products to commercial and residential clients. Treat all customers and their agents with courtesy and respect. Load transport and unload firewood from suppliers safely and accurately. Process firewood at our wood yard using a chainsaw wood splitter or splitting maul. Ensure quality control of all product leaving the wood yard. Effectively locate and navigate to customers using our driver interface. Properly interact with clients using our digital customer interface. Performing routine safety check on vehicles according to company guidelines and report accordingly Maintain condition of work area (i.e. free of trash product in the correct location etc.) What You Need Grit. The mental capacity to preserve and achieve long term goals in the face of adversity. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in an extremely physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to endure regular exposure to temperature extremes. Must be a self starter with high energy a positive attitude dependability and a team player. Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment with flexibility and level-headedness. Must be able to multi-task and follow simple instructions while paying attention to detail. Must understand basic use of technology (smart-phone navigation apps customer interface apps camera) Must have reliable transportation to and from work each day A clean driving record 25 years of age or older Bonus points if you have previous commercial trucking or manual labor experience.Work HoursFull Time Expected to work full time (minimum of 40 hours per week on a 5 day work week) and fulfill all job duties assigned during a given day.
