Antique Small Adult or Child s Wood Rocking Chair Primitive Rock

Very early rocker for a small adult or a child possibly pre 1850 and adults were considerable smaller back thenMeasures 28.5 inches from the floor to the top of the back. Adult rockers that I have here measure about 40 inches.Very old primitive. The seat is overly thick at better than an inch and a half and the rocker attachments are very early.All joints are very tight and the chair will NOT require re-glueingChair has been completely stripped and will require only a light sanding staining and varnish or other clear finish.I think the the wood is hickory but have been away from this for too long to be absolutely certain.This would make an extremely nice antique addition to any decor.Priced at considerably less than the cost to strip.
