This chess set is composed of pieces in pewter silver and 18 Kt gold plate. It cost 1400.00 in 1984 so considering the run-up in gold and silver I would imagine 795.00 for the entire set is a screaming bargain. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The pieces range from 1 3 4 to 2 1 4 inches in height. They are finely detailed wizards sorceresses unicorns dragons castles and dwarves. For anyone who enjoys collectible chess sets or collectibles of any kind for that matter this is a true head turner. Pieces only no board.
