[Seventy times seven 490 times. In other words if someone wrongs you forgive them no matter how many times they sin against you. It may take some time to build trust with that person again but forgive them. These verses are important as well Matthew 6 14-15 Mark 11 25-26 Luke 17 3-4 Romans 12 17-20 Ephesians 4 26 Colossians 3 13]. Romans 12 21 Be not overcome of evil but overcome evil with good. Question What are you to do if the one that wrongs you never repents to you Perhaps they are dead now or living in another place thus their repentance to you can t be done. Maybe they don t realize they have wronged you. My answer I do believe God wants us to have a heart that is inclined to forgiving in any instance. Remember overcome evil with good and vengeance is mine sayeth the LORD. I definitely need to pray and contemplate on this subject much more. Food for thought Jesus was trying to let us know that if we don t forgive others then He won t be able to do the work in us that He so lovingly wants to do. I believe we must be in the right frame of mind so to speak by practicing forgiveness ourselves. Christ has continued to forgive us every time we fail the standard of His perfection and we ask for His forgiveness.
