I Need Help To Pay My Medical Bill.

On August 07 2019 I had a stroke and I was taken to the emergency room. The doctors told me that I had a small stroke he (the doctor) said that I did not a major stroke but a very small one and on that same night I was admitted to (Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany Ga) from August 07 to August 13 2019 during that time in the hospital I had to learn how to walk again and I had to have physical therapy occupational therapy speech therapy and undergo daily evaluations. Before being discharge from the hospital I was told by a surgeon that I would have come back to the hospital in two weeks once my brain has heal and have the surgery done. On the left side of my neck because my artery is 90% full of hard plaque and he said that was the cause of me having a stroke. Endarterectomy is the removal of plaque from the carotid artery. I had the surgery done on August 28 2019 and on the next day (Aug.29 2019) I was able to go home. Two weeks later I receive my hospital bill for the surgery and I could not believe what I was see on the bill this was my very first surgery in my whole life. The hospital bill for the surgery is ( 37 926.95). Phoebe Hospital has sent me a letter saying (FINAL NOTICE) that I have 30 days from the day of the letter (12 12 2019). To pay the amount owe or they will have my account referred to a credit reporting collection agency. During the time of my surgery on August 28 2019 I did not have health insurance I have health insurance now and I sent my new health insurance (AARP Medicare Supplement Plan) the information about the amount and the surgery.
