Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board U.P Pollution Control Board is a statutory organization entrusted to implement Environmental Laws and rules within the jurisdiction of the state of Uttar Pradesh India. Initially under the Water ( Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act. 1974 was consequently rechristened as U.P. Pollution Control Board on 13th July 1982 subsequent to the enactment of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1981. The Board was also entrusted with the powers and functions under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Cess Act 1977. Punjab Pollution Control Board The Punjab Pollution Control Board was constituted in the year 1975 vide Punjab Government Notification No. 6186-BR II (4) 75 24146 dated 30.07.1975 after the enactment of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 to preserve the wholesomeness of water. Subsequently with the enactment of other environmental laws the responsibility to implement the provisions of such laws was also entrusted to the Punjab Pollution Control Board in the State of Punjab. Karnataka State Pollution Control Board The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board for Prevention and Control of Water Pollution was constituted by the Government of Karnataka on The Twenty-First of September Nineteen Seventy Four (21.9.1974) in pursuance of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974. The Water Act will provide for the prevention and control of water pollution and maintaining or restoring of wholesomeness of water. After the enactment of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 the enforcing responsibility was entrusted to the above Board. As such the Board was later renamed as the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board in 1985 . Gujarat Pollution Control Board NOC The Government of Gujarat constituted the GPCB (Gujarat Pollution Control Board) on 15.10.1974 as per provisions under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 the with a view to protect the environment prevent and control the pollution of water in the State of Gujarat that occupies a prominent niche in progressive and industrial development of the country. The Board has been entrusted with the Central Acts and relevant Rules for pollution control as notified thereof from time to time. Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board NOC The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board for Prevention and Control of Water Pollution was constituted on 24-01-1976 under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974. After the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 came into force the Board s name was changed as Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board. Initially the Board was set up to implement the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974. The Board was subsequently given the responsibility of implementing a series of other environmental Acts and Rules. Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board NOC The main objective of M.P. Pollution Control Board is to maintain water air and soil in healthy and usable condition for various purposes. Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board NOC The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board was constituted under section 4 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 on 7th February 1975 with the objectives of prevention and control of water pollution and maintaining or restoring of wholesomeness of water[j1] . Later it was also entrusted with the responsibilities of prevention control and abatement of Air Pollution under the provisions of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1981. Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board NOC Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) was established on 27.2.1982. It functions with Head Office at Chennai 7 Zonal offices and 38 District offices. The Board office is headed by the Chairman Zonal offices are headed by the Joint Chief Environmental Engineers and the 38 District offices are headed by District Environmental Engineers. Two flying squads are also functioning at Erode and Tiruppur which are headed by the Environmental Engineers. Telangana State Pollution Control Board NOC The Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) is a statutory authority entrusted to implement environmental laws and rules within the jurisdiction of the State of Telangana India. The Board ensures proper implementation of the statutes judicial and legislative pronouncements related to environmental protection within the State. As per A.P. Re-organization Act 2014 APPCB was bifurcated and TSPCB was constituted under Sec.4 of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Section 5 of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 on 07-07-2014. Chattisgarh Pollution Control Board NOC The Chattisgarh Pollution Control Board has been established as a regulatory authority for implementing various pollution control laws. The board is committed to provide polloution free environment to the people of state. The Board has undertaken various studies of underground water solil and air to take remedial steps to control pollution. Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board NOC Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board which was constituted under section 4 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 first time on 09.09.2001 started functioning from 15.12.2001. It has at present a nominated Chairman fifteen nominated Members and an appointed Member Secretary. Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board NOC The H.P.
