SC To Decide If It Will Give Article 370 To a Larger Bench

SC will decide today if petitions challenging the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution should be heard by a larger seven-judge bench. A five-judge Constitution bench presided by Justice N V Ramana had reserved its order on the reference of the case to a larger bench on January 23. Let us tell you the central govt had scrapped Article 370 in August last year. After this it ended special provisions accorded to J& K and bifurcated it into two union territories - J& K and Ladakh.
