Customer brought in a Lacie Rugged 2TB drive that was not mounting. The customer was able to get the drive to mount for a moment then they safely ejected it. Diagnosis We just started the diagnosis process on your drive and unfortunately had to stop immediately. The drive powers up but there is a light clicking sound coming from the drive (. We opened the drive cover in our Clean Room and there is a light scratch on the top platter. This top platter is completely unreadable as the new read write heads will go bad after a couple seconds of reading.
