Position Summary Operator Assistant works in accord with the Operator on all of the production lines in use. Responsibilities Soft skills desired Arriving before shift starts to assure safety meeting begins on time. Working in at a production like pace in a safe manner adhering to all the safety rules. (No glasses on top of heads) Staying busy even when production is down not going off and looking for a place to take a nap. This is a weekly pay position - must be able to work around not getting paid daily. We are a family orientated company - we are looking for individuals who want to grow with the company individuals who are coach-able who can take direction and advice with a great attitude. plenty of opportunity for advancement.Principal Accountabilities Operates console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort transfer and stack on pallets containers of finished products. Observes packages moving along conveyor to identify packages and to detect defective packaging and presses console buttons to deflect packages to predetermined accumulator or reject lines. Turns selector switch on palletizer to control stacking arrangement of packages on pallet and to transfer loaded pallet to storage or delivery platform.Stops equipment to clear jams. Informs Operator or Supervisor of equipment malfunction. Keeps records of production and equipment performance.Other Accountabilities - The position may be asked to perform other duties such as but not limited to Operating a forklift bringing supplies to various stages of the production line and removing finished product. Loading and or unloading containers and trucks.
