Rare collectable and clearly an heirloom by any standard is this new never fired original pristine one owner CORA 1290 coal burning stove that was designed and crafted in Germany by European masters of high quality heating appliances. Burger Eisenwerkes has been in the wood stove business for generations....since the 1700s. Even today their stoves are considered status symbols by thousands of Europeans. This stove may be small in stature but it is HUGE in heating It is simply beautiful and screams charm and character. But the Cora not only looks beautiful... it is extremely efficient. Because it was engineered designed and built to burn coal it is considered over-built as a wood burner Lots of high density cast iron wrapped up in a beautiful mahogany porcelain finish. When the Cora gets hot it s mass [over 225 pounds] keeps her hot for long periods. This precious gem was imported by a German family here in Wisconsin but was never used It sat in dry storage for over 30 years. It is new. The measurements are 27 H x 16 W x 11 D. Its footprint is 17 X 11 . EZ ash removal system top front loading and horizontal 4 flue collar on the back. My humble photographs do not justice to this fine piece of art working furniture.
