A Sanitation Associate has a dirty job but it s one that most communities can t live without. Sanitation Associate make sure neighborhoods streets and public areas stay clean and they dispose of trash in safe effective and environmentally friendly ways. A Sanitation Associate must be physically fit so he or she can quickly climb in and out of large trucks and lift heavy trash containers. Many Sanitation Associates obtain driving certifications allowing them to operate commercial vehicles. We would love to have you on our crew so apply at the link above.Responsibilities Mopping Floors. Sweeping Floors. Cleaning Counter tops. Cleaning Shelves. Emptying Garbage. Breaking down and disposing of cardboard boxes. Sanitizing Work Areas. Other Duties as assigned by Site Supervisor.Qualifications & Experience Arrive on time. Check with security. New employees will need to provide a valid ID. Security will issue a temporary badge to enter facility. You will then have your picture taken to receive an ID badge that must be carried at all times. You will be required to carry a radio. ABM will provide safety vest gloves and safety glasses. When parking and in the parking lot please follow and adhere to STOP signs and SPEED LIMIT regulations. Dress Code Long pants. Blue jeans are acceptable (no holes or tears). Regular t-shirt (plain no letters or words). We recommend wearing comfortable closed toe shoes as there is a lot of walking done while performing your duties. No phones allowed in the facility. Phone can be stored in the locker area. No earbuds allowed. No smoking allowed inside facility. Need to remain in the assigned area. No Apple Fitbit watches allowed. No jewelry allowed. Long hair must be worn in a bun. Fingernails must be shorter than 2 inches.
