Suite C Grand Forks ND 58203 is currently hiring a Quilting Machine OperatorResponsibilities include Job DescriptionTicking foam backing and other materials are sewn together to form a quilted. -Read work order to determine what to quilt -Set Automatic cutting knifes (if required) -Load quilt backing on quilter -Load foam on quilter -load ticking -Mark quilting chart and FR tag with color and number to associate panel being quilted with the appropriate FR tag -Feed materials through rollers -Set pattern and yardage on the control panel of quilter -Clear area before starting machine -Start machine and check for proper feeding -Check for skips and splices and mark them -Check threading of machine -When operating the panel quilter material is precut by quilter to then be flanged later -Completed panels are stacked for flanging -After quilting run is completed shut down quilter -Return extra ticking to storage areaResponsibilities Include Maintain ticking foam backing and other supplies as needed Unloading supply truck Redoing of work to correct specifications Repair of warranty work as needed Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Other duties as necessary Qualifications A mechanically inclined individual is necessary. Use of hands and fingers (grasping handling and feeling) reaching with hands and arms with eye-hand coordination. Requires considerable use of your hands arms back shoulders and legs. Moving your whole body including twisting reaching pulling kneeling stooping balancing walking and handling of materials. This individual must not have any physical limitations. Ability to stand for extended periods of time often bending and twisting. Close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. Ability to speak and communicate effectively with the ability to read and interpret details and documents such as safety rules procedure manuals operations and maintenance instructions and labeling. Ability to lift carry push or pull objects up to 100 lbs. Able to work around noise moving machinery exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity and exposure to dust.
