The People Ready Branch 330 SMC Drive Somerset WI 54025 USA is currently hiring a Custodian Job DescriptionThe Facilities Maintenance Custodian position ensures the facility appearance is acceptable at all times. This position is responsible for the facilities cleanliness. Duties include sweeping mopping trash removal snow shoveling and other general cleaning duties. Position will perform minor maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing carpentry painting plastering. Knowledge in or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.ResponsibilitiesVacuum sweep and mop floors (utilizing the floor buffer) empty all trash cans and recycling bins replace liners and clean receptacles as necessary clean and sanitize restrooms Helps keep the facilities maintenance area clean organized and safe Keeps janitorial equipment clean safe and operable Regular attendance Spot clean carpets Clean and sanitize restrooms Clean sinks countertops tables microwaves and refrigerators in break rooms Dust and clean office furniture cubicle panels and other horizontal surfaces. Clean white boards when directed Clean mirrors and glass doors in facility Clean windowsills and windows door handles handrails light switches and metal fixtures Clean and polish wood furniture doors and handrails Restock supplies in bathrooms break rooms and common areas Keeps janitorial equipment clean safe and operable Set up and arrange tables and chairs for meetings and company functions Empty all trash cans and recycling bins replace liners and clean receptacles as necessary Keep outside break and smoking areas clean Maintains the outside grounds (shovels and removes snow from walkways etc.) Set up and arrange tables and chairs for meetings and company functions. Maintains inventory on cleaning supplies and order supplies as need for cleaning and maintenance duties. Perform other duties as may be assigned Qualifications & Experience Requires a minimum of one (1) years of experience in the facilities field or in a related area. Minimum education of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong mechanical ability. Ability to read write speak and understand English.
