Canton Manufacturing Company is seeking a Unit Manager. The Unit Manager s key responsibilities include the following training of employees planning assigning and directing work on-going performance management rewarding coaching and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems. Directly supervise product fulfillment coordinators order fulfillment assistants supervisors team leaders and production employees. REQUIREMENTSAssociates Degree OR an equivalent amount of relevant work experience is required Minimum 3 years direct manufacturing and supervisory experience at any level is required Must have shop floor manufacturing experience. Must have excellent communication skills (verbal & written) Must have very good multitasking skills and a high attention to detail Must be able to use measuring devices (calibers and micrometers) Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) experienced. Preferred experience in steel processing fabrication. Preferred experience with continuous improvement such as Kaizen 5S waste or standard work. Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift (prefer 2nd shift) Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
