Position CookTerms of employment Full-time PermanentWage 25 - 27 hour(depending on experience)Hours 30 - 44 hours weekBenefits 4% vacation pay Job Duties Prepare season and cook food as directed Ensure food service and quality meet the standards Monitor stock of supplies ingredients and place orders when there are shortages Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Maintain inventory and records of food supplies and equipment Train kitchen staff and supervise their activities Inspect kitchen and food service areas Plan menus and estimate food requirements and costs May hire staff and train them in preparation and cooking and handling of food Oversee kitchen operations Educational Requirements Completion of Secondary school Experience Requirements 2 3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
