GCB Installs and Services is hiring a technician Position Information Position Service Technician-Electrical Appliances Terms of employment Full-time Permanent Wage 21.70 - 25.00 hour (Depending on Experience) Hours 30 - 40 hours week Benefits 4% vacation pay Number of Position available 1 Work Location Various locations in Lower Mainland in BC as per company s contracts Company Mailing Address 22888 Windsor Court Richmond BC Canada Job Duties Load and unload home appliances to and from trucks Perform the pre-trip check-up on the truck and follow safety procedures Provide safe delivery of our products into the customer s home Great customer service skills and friendly demeanor Work as a team with the delivery driver or assistant when moving the appliances into the customer s home Examining customers appliances and identifying the cause of appliance breakdowns. Performing maintenance work on customers appliances. Providing rough estimates to customers on how much it would cost to repair damaged or malfunctioning appliances. Repairing or replacing defective or damaged appliance components upon approval from customers. Advising customers on how to use appliances correctly. Installing various appliances for customers such as washers wall ovens and stoves. Maintaining an accurate record of all items parts used to repair replace or maintain appliances. Billing customers and collecting payments. Job requirements Education Completion of high school is required. Experience Minimum 1 2 years of work experience in appliance repairs and or with deliveries is required. Valid Class 5 driver s license is required.
