CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) - Akron Ohio - JOB 21-00181Hourly Rate 15.00 - 26.00 HR Permanent Position with Benefits Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply. Akron Area Manufacturing Company is seeking a CNC Machinist to work on their 2nd Shift operations. The CNC Machinist key responsibilities will be the Set up and operation of CNC mills and lathes. Understand blueprints routing instructions and measuring equipment. Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations. Performs first piece inspections using calibrated measuring equipment Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma OR GED OR equivalent experience in a machine shop Must understand G Code Must have 2-3 years of manufacturing experience 2 years of machining experience preferred 2 years CNC experience preferred Experience with Fanuc Controls Macro B a plus Must be able to use Micrometers Bore Gages Calipers etc. Able to read blueprints routing instructions and measuring equipment Must be able to work within a team environment or with minimal supervision. CNC Mill and Lathe with live tooling experience beneficial but not necessary Must have a high attention to detail Knowledge of Speeds and Feeds Lathe and Mill An understanding of Lean Principals a plus but not necessary Must be able to work a 10-hour shift Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
