CNC Machinist (1st shift) - Akron Ohio - JOB 21-00180 Hourly Rate 15.00 - 26.00 HR Permanent Position with Benefits Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.Akron Area Manufacturing Company is seeking a CNC Machinist. The CNC Machinist key responsibilities will be the setting up and operating of CNC machines to produce precision parts and instruments for the capital equipment produced by the company. Studies blueprints sketches drawings manuals specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece sequence of operations and set up requirements. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturer s instructions troubleshooting malfunctions calling for repairs. REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or GED required 2-year Technical Degree preferred Must have 2-3 years of manufacturing experience Ability to perform setups and edits to the program Experience with Fanuc and Fanuc micro controls a plus Must be able to follow instructions (written & verbally) Must be able to read blueprints (diameters (ID & OD) surfaces and simple shapes) Must be able to machine parts to specified tolerance. Must able to use measuring devices (micrometers calipers to measure the parts) Must have strong communication skills (listening verbal writing) Manual dexterity to use tools and machines Must be able to lift and move 50lbs regularly (heavy parts equipment Must be able to stand for long periods Must have good time management be well organized and finishing work on schedule Must work well in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision. CNC Lathe and Mill with live tooling experience (Johnford machine experience beneficial but not necessary) Understanding of speeds and feeds on lathes and mills Understanding of G& M codes Excellent with attention to detail Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Hourly Rate 15.00 - 26.00 HR Permanent Position with Benefits Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
