If the set power factor is not obtained even after switching ON the entire capacitor bank the Alarm is ringed with an error message of Lack of Banks. Suppose the measured power factor is leading to the set power factor. In that case the equipment automatically selects the best combination of banks for the required KVAR from the available bank values. It switches OFF the capacitor banks till the set power factor or unity has reached.Power factor correction can be done manually through the keyboard.When the IPFC is connected the first time the bank values should be calibrated in a no-load condition.
