The PeopleReady Branch located at Chesapeake VA is currently hiring a Shipping Clerk Job DescriptionUnder direct supervision this position is responsible for preparing and shipping materials to the correct location on the specified date. Following any special instructions for each order. Making sure to prioritize each order to meet various deadlines. Position requires the use of a forklift. This position is responsible for visually inspecting materials special instructions material quantity ordered and shipped and housekeeping. Note Pay Rate for this Job is 13.50 HourJob Responsibilities Must maintain an acceptable attendance record in accordance with company policy. Prepare orders to ship according to customer specifications. Audit product assuring the product meets all product and printing specifications. Prepares product for orders to ship. Compare product and order to assure accuracy for customer request. Follow sales order requirements as well as special instruction information to assure customer specifications are met. Setting up carrier for pick up according to order. Assists other team members with maintaining a clean neat and organized warehouse. Provides backup for other areas as needed Perform other duties as requested. Adhere to company Quality Efficiency and Safety Standards. Complete all corporate training requirements. Qualifications Previous warehouse knowledge and experience Ability to work in warehouse conditions may exist from very cold to very hot. Ability to work Microsoft Oracle email fax scan and strong written and verbal skills Previous knowledge of warehouse operations and location of materials. Ability to lift 70 pounds repetitive bending and lifting from floor level to overhead. Ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision. Positive attitude and strong teamwork values. Willingness to learn other jobs. Must have an acceptable attendance record. Previous quality measurements must be at an acceptable rate. Ability to work comfortably in areas where seasonal temperatures may be considerably higher or cooler than other areas of the plant.
