The Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur was the first stage of the entire journey relevant to IITs. It was established in the year 1950 with an easy admission criterion. With the passage of time and modernization in the jee advanced in Thane as well as the other 22 locations, the competition became tough. As a basic and very first admission procedure, the candidates were supposed to get enrolled on the basis of their past academic results. The second was the interview done at various centers. The second phase brought the national examination system, CEE which was followed by the screening test and finally JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
