The PeopleReady located at Lewiston Maine 4240 is currently hiring a Recyclable Material Sorter Job Description The right candidate will be working for a renewable energy company that focuses on the generation of electric and thermal energy from waste fuels. maximizing the recovery of energy from these waste materials while minimizing the amount of the residues requiring landfill disposal. As a Recyclable Material Sorter you will be separating the different recyclable material. Pay Rate for this Job is 15 Hour - 16 Hour Responsibilities Include Work under minimal supervision in an unheated outdoor sorting facility stands at a conveyor belt resorting machine excavator pre-sorted material. Incumbent removes recyclable items e.g. plastic cardboard and light metals. Handling and storage of incoming material to proper areas in a safe and efficient manner Performs manual material separation at the processing picking stations Process residue management and cleanup Qualifications Must be able to work independently and as part of the team Ability to bend stand and twist up to 9 hours The position is Monday to Friday 8 hours per shift with occasional Saturday hours required. The typical work week is 40-50 hours.
