Field Service Technician - Mechanical Assembly Installation Preventative Maintenance - Canton OH - JOB 21-00368Pay Range 23.00 - 26.00 HR Contract to Possible Direct HireOnly U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply. A design and build company for bulk material handling equipment located in Canton Ohio is seeking to hire a Field Service Technician to work under the direction guidance of the Service Manager. Seeking a dependable hard-working individual with a great attitude and willingness to learn and do what needs to be done. This will range from unloading and loading of deliveries assembly work housekeeping shipping and inventory. First Shift General hours are 7 00 am to 4 00 pm with a lunchREQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Mechanically inclined in order to perform assembly work. Able to perform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment. Knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting procedures and failure analysis. Work with our Project Managers during the design and layout phases. Work with the Sales team on ordering parts for Service jobs. Welding experience is required. Definitely stick welding Must be able to read write complete time logs complete job logs. Maintain superior customer service relations. Maintain a clean work environment Familiar with OSHA standards and be Safety Minded. Has a clean driving record. Knowledge of the bulk material conveying system is a plus. Must be able to drive a forklift tow motor. Use of cranes and manlifts a must. Ideally have some relative experience with belt conveyors how to train a belt adjust idlers take-ups etc. Ability to read blueprint drawings a plus. RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare material for shipment. Load Unload trucks of material. Forklift driver required or willing to learn Assembly- preparing work to be assembled reviewing drawings use of hand tools power tools Maintain Inventory nuts bolts idlers other components PC Literate Able to use a computer. Driving locally to pick up or deliver items this may require pulling a trailer at times. We do many jobs during company shut-downs and may be requested to work weekends and holidays. Sundays and Holidays are currently paid at Double Time Rate. Must be able work overtime during busy times. Some travel may be requested of this position. Our Service Team works all over the U.S. this position will on occasion be requested to go on a job. Must be able to make field adjustments. Travel to site to install erect our custom-built conveyor systems Travel to site to provide service for our customers on conveyor systems. Ironworker experience a plus. Physical RequirementsRequired to lift push pull at least 100 lbs. Travel is required for this position. Maybe as much as 50% Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
