Well established Engineering firm located in the Lorain Ohio area is seeking a Civil Project Engineer. Key responsibilities of the Civil Project Engineer will be to perform detailed highway design calculations in support of design for highway geometry drainage and material. Write reports and specifications. Assists in the completion of final submittal documents for design projects. Preparation of design plans using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer Civil 3D and other design software. REQUIREMENTSBachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering required Professional License (P.E) in State of Ohio OR qualified to obtain an Ohio P.E. license Must have 5 8 years experience Experience with highway design geometric design and drainage design (using latest ODOT accepted related traffic and roadway software) Preferred Must have experience preparing design plans using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer Civil 3D and other design software. Any experience knowledge acquired working in the field (ODOT local municipalities and Local and Federally funded projects.) Experience with AASHTO and ODOT design manuals and standards as well as related traffic control and maintenance of traffic knowledge Preferred Experience knowledge of ODOT s Project Development Process (PDP) and Local Public Agency (LPA) projects is desired. Must work well in a team environment Must be a self-starter and work well independently. Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) experienced.
