An Akron area manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer will identify opportunities and lead projects to improve productivity reduce costs and improve quality. Work with operators team leads design managers engineers and planners to optimize process center layouts and designs incorporating material flow and line balancing. Interface closely with maintenance and machinists to troubleshoot equipment problems. Develop and source fixtures work-holding devices and tooling to increase efficiency of manufactured parts and assemblies. REQUIREMENTSBachelor s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science preferred 4 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment preferred 2 years industrial engineering experience preferred Past experience working in a Machining Assembly Fabricating environment highly desired. Must be proficient with the following software programs SolidWorks Mastercam AutoCAD. Good understanding and knowledge of cost analysis.. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement preferred Self-motivated and ability to motivate others Must have a desire to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment Must be able to read and interpret blueprints schematics and engineering drawings. Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) Must have good problem-solving skills a high with high attention to detail Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) experienced Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
