The PeopleReady located at Port Charlotte Florida 33980 is currently hiring a Truss Assembler Job Description PeopleReady is now hiringTruss Assembler Pay Rate for this Job is 13.50 Hour Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day) Responsibilities Major Function To fabricate quality wood trusses in a timely and efficient manner. Specific Function Fabricate trusses based on design drawings. Quality is a priority. Assemble trusses with joints fitting tightly and plates located as specified. Notify supervisor of any inconsistencies in truss designs lumber measurements plates etc. Adjust place sizing as necessary for wan knots or other lumber defects. Always maintain a system of quality control with high regard to safety. Use all staged lumber before re-cutting from new inventory to minimize waste. Always wear safety equipment as required by company safety guidelines. Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisor. Physical Requirements 100% of the day heavy lifting (20 lbs. 80lbs) working outside in the elements. Qualifications & Experience Experience in general assembly preferred but not required. Ability to stand lift and bend frequently. Ability to work 8 to 12-hour shifts.
