The PeopleReady located at Gig Harbor Washington 98335 is currently hiring a Weigher Job Description Weighing is a position within our manufacturing process that combines physical work with detail-oriented paperwork. Our Weighers prepare and operates scales machines and equipment that weigh raw ingredients in their powder form necessary for specific formulas. They work in a team environment - communicating with supervisors and co-workers. Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 17-19 Hour. Shift Timings - All available Responsibilities Include The Physical Side Lifting bags of powdered raw material Loading the raw material onto industrial scales Loading and unloading pallets of heavy material Screening the raw material as it is being weighed Working with and or around pallet jacks Powder gets everywhere Comfortable with getting it all over you. Wearing all protective equipment throughout the length of your shift when needed hairnets beard covers shoe covers uniform gloves dust mask respirator Tyvek suit safety glasses safety goggles. Being comfortable in a work environment that has forklifts Being a hands-on learner Adjust equipment controls using hand eye coordination and dexterity with various control switches dials buttons Qualifications The Mental Side Fill out detailed log book information Comfortable working with calculators for accuracy in numerical equations Learning and maintaining all FDA regulations in the workplace Following written records and weighing instructions Follow verbal instructions Strategic planning for the multiple steps in the weighing process Learn how to operate our industrial equipment Attention to accuracy on labeling containers and product ZIPX
