A little history At one time Fostoria was the largest maker of handmade glassware in the United States employing nearly 1 000 people. The company started in 1887 in Fostoria Ohio however it moved in Moundsville in 1891 and was operational until 1986.The 20-in. torte plate is the 2nd most rare one that this company produced.This very attractive crystal torte plate has to be seen in person to truly appreciate it s design & craftsmanship.The cubes are pretty large they are a nice 3 inches wide at the outermost edges & in the 2nd row below that the cubes are 2-1 2 inches wide.It would be idea for using as your holiday serving dish for your pastries & other desserts carved meats or as a relish dish that has a nice size bowl of dip.This plate will add more beauty to your home would look great with a large vase of flowers that are on top of it right in the center of your dining room table.It has a very good amount of weight to it.
