The ChallengeWe are looking for an experienced Chief of Staff to serve as the right-hand person to our NCDMV Deputy Commissioner. In this role you will Serve as the primary gatekeeper manager monitor of the communications flow for NCDMV programs to help ensure alignment shared vision risk mitigation collaboration and success for our programs. Maintain awareness engagement and communications of NCDMV programs and projects across multiple business units. Provide status updates on progress issues challenges and opportunities for improvement to our management team. Attend meetings on the Deputy Commissioner s behalf where you will facilitate strategic planning across NCDMV units and provide progress updates to senior leadership. Provide NCDMV leadership team with business intelligence to prepare them for program challenges meetings and presentations. Provide insights and guidance to help NCDMV achieve our business goals and improved performance teamwork. Collaborate with NCDMV executive team members to determine and prioritize business strategies and address risks challenges. Identify program issues and provide potential solution pathways. Apply your meeting management skills to plan coordinate and ensure efficient productive meetings. Serve as a primary gate-keeper manager monitor of the communications flow for NCDMV multiple programs. Prepare and present quarterly presentations on program and project status updates and progress to NCDMV goals. Work with our project management team to help ensure projects remain on track and achieve our business goals. Help ensure alignment shared vision risk mitigation collaboration and success for our programs. Maintain program management status and communications for complex inter-related programs involving people process and technology change. Serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders and be a direct link from the Deputy Commissioner to NCDOT NCDMV staff (Including but not limited to Senior and Executive staff contractors and attorneys) legislators other government officials and the public. Delegate and monitor tasks set special projects goals and objectives develop project plans and coordinate stakeholder meetings. Be empowered to work independently with minimal supervision to manage projects. What You BringProgram management coordination skills in public or private sector. Experience managing programs involving multiple business units large projects and significant organizational change. Ability to interpret apply explain and evaluate NCDMV policies and procedures. Skills to capture review and report on business metrics data analytics to determine conclusions actions and compliance with applicable laws rules or regulations. Excellent communication skills to work at all levels of the organization from senior management to front-line staff. Presentation and report-writing skills to create program status reports detailing roadmaps progress risks challenges and opportunities. Experience working in organizational learning and performance and or business performance analytics. Management PrefersCandidates with Expertise in business process redesign analysis and project management. Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Windows. Experience coordinating programs in a large organizational with multiple business units. Knowledge of personnel policies and practices accounting principles and practices. Ability to direct projects characterized by technically complex systems or diverse and complex administrative work processing systems. Proficient and organized research investigation and note-taking skills. Ability to plan assign and review the work of others. Proven ability to communicate orally and in writing to a variety of persons at all educational levels who are internal and external to the organization. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates officials and the public.
