The Challenge We are hiring 3 Real Property Agent Trainees to join our Forsyth County Right of Way Team in Winston-Salem. You will go through 24-months of training with raises every 6 months You will be hired at 39k go to 41k at 6 months 43.1k at 12 months 45.4k at 18 months and 48.1k at 24 months You will also receive FULL state benefits & start your pension at hire In this role you will Be trained to acquire real property for NC Highway Construction. Contact property owners of real property to be acquired explain plans describe real property to be acquired make monetary offers based on appraisal and damages and explain how the appraisal offer amount was determined. Prepare deeds and easement agreements for the acquisition of right of way on highway projects and secondary roads. Handle relocation assistance of a highway project by assisting displaced residential and business displacees in moving and relocating off the proposed right of way. Assist in moving personal property including signs billboards and other items associated with the clearing of the project. Assist individuals in locating purchasing and or renting replacement property. What You BringVerbal and written communication skills to advise property owners tenants of their rights and how they will be affected by the project and to interpret convey to the public requirements of federal state regulations regarding the Uniform Relocation Act. Ability to interpret highway right of way and construction plans including cross-sections typical sections of profiles and prepare legal instruments of conveyance describing areas of right of way to be acquired. Management PrefersCandidates with a valid state driver s license. NotesNight and weekend work may be necessary. You must obtain your NC Notary Certification within 3 months of hire.
