Data Center Technician needs 2 years of work experience in a telecommunications mission critical facility server room or data center required.Data Center Technician requires Excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment Lift up to 75 lbs. Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively. Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results. Strong organizational skills ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment. Data Center Technician duties Provide technical support related to redundancy reliability and maintainability for the data center. Ensure that data center problems are identified and repaired quickly and that external and internal customer demands are met. Respond to all data center alarms in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Complete daily inspections and regularly scheduled maintenance tasks. Support customers as needed under the direction of site manager Operate monitor maintain and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Provide ongoing technical support management and oversight of vendors as necessary. Perform numerous electrical HVAC preventative maintenance activities. General Facility upkeep and cleaning Approximately 80% of time the role will be performed outside of a conventional office environment. Assist with the operational integrity customer support security and regulatory compliance of an assigned data center. Work with the Site Operations Manager Responsible for the operations maintenance and monitoring of the data center and supporting infrastructure including security functions general site response and triage and customer interaction.
