The ChallengeWe re looking for an entry-level Engineer to join our Location & Surveys team and help deliver engineering analysis mapping and other data for the design of transportation facilities and the acquisition of property for the construction of transportation facilities. In this role you will Apply professional engineering techniques and standards to moderately-difficult transportation design and analysis of engineering projects. Assist senior engineers on major complex projects. Address the functionality and applicability of survey data for project design with limited supervision. Support senior engineers in functional areas such as project design through the review and development of project data. Coordinate engineering projects with in-house and Private Engineering Firm (PEF) field forces. Contact property owners during project development. Note You may be required to register as a professional engineer with the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors. What You BringKnowledge of engineering surveying principles related to boundary geodetic and route surveying. Experience scheduling survey crews and estimating scoping labor hours for survey work. Knowledge of GNSS survey procedures and processing. Knowledge of coordinate systems and data used in surveying. Experience reviewing the work of others in CADD.
