Salary 15.60 - 26.00 hour The Challenge We are looking for an Accounting Technician to join our Integrated Mobility team as a full time temporary. This position lasts for 11 months with the opportunity for renewal. In this role you will Use your accounting skills to prepare contracts and awards review supporting documentation and approve requests for reimbursement. Manage work order accounts from beginning to closeout for rural urban and regional transportation systems. Assist subrecipients in the financial implementation of Public Transportation Division funded projects. Implement fiscal policies and guidance for the Federal Section 5303 5307 5309 5339 5310 5311 CARES ARPA and CRRSAA Programs Rural Capital Program Rural Operating Assistance Program (Elderly and Disabled Transportation Assistance Program Work First Transitional Employment Transportation Assistance Program and the Rural General Public Program) Human Service Transportation Management Program State Maintenance Assistance Program and the Statewide Technology Program. Manage databases light rail projects fixed asset inventory creating and managing requisitions presenting PowerPoint presentations at conferences and legislative reports. What You BringThorough knowledge of accounting and auditing principles concepts and practices. Demonstrated ability to interpret analyze and apply accounting data and apply standardized accounting practices used in state government. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint). In-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of grants administration. Demonstrated ability to interpret contract provisions. Good judgment and discretion establishing applying and interpreting administrative managerial policies and procedures. Ability to determine compliance with pertinent guidelines rules regulations and laws. Problem-solving skills and ability to develop recommendations. Experience establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with state federal and local government officials. Education & ExperienceAssociates degree in Accounting and 1 year of experience or High School GED diploma and 2 years of accounting experience or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
