The Challenge We are looking for an experienced Landscape Architect to join our Roadside Environmental team. In this role you will Develop aesthetic and landscape architectural projects by leading project management design administration aesthetic and environmental assessment implementation. Manage private engineering firms to carry out landscape architectural plan development. Provide oversight and be the primary contact for all landscape architectural rest area site development historic mitigation contracting of private engineer firms and policies guidelines. Provide project oversight manage staff and their technical competency support our Division Roadside offices delegate project work and administer support for Unit management. What You BringLandscape Architecture Project Design Development & Analysis experience. Experience managing private engineering consulting firms for the use of developing landscape architectural plans for proposed projects. Experience calculating material quantities from plans that may include cut fill retaining wall concrete sidewalk patio pavers irrigation lighting fencing site signage groundcovers trees shrubs mulch water topsoil stone drainage pipe drop inlets reforestation and selective vegetation removal. Experience directing oversight or creating engineer s estimates for site and landscape development project work. Experience analyzing and delineating project impacts on the visual environment. Management PrefersCandidates registered as a Landscape Architect. NoteWe may require registration as a professional engineer with the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
