The ChallengeWe are looking for 7 full-time temp transportation workers to join our Highway Maintenance teams in Brunswick Duplin New Hanover Onslow Pender and Brunswick counties. This is a 12 month temporary position with the opportunity for renewal In this role you will learn to Serve as an Assistant Sign Erector installing and maintaining traffic signs. Manage traffic controls (e.g. setting detours and road closures). Operate a variety of hand and power tools. What You BringAn interest in Transportation Construction and a commitment to a safe work environment. A team player who can work in a close team environment and independently. Dependable - you arrive to work on time. Experience doing manual labor and using small hand tools including shovels rakes brooms posthole diggers hammers screwdrivers and torches. An excellent work ethic with good ability to listen be safe and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to plan and organize your daily work activities. Organizational skills to maintain daily records and reports on all activity in your assigned area. Strength to lift 50 pounds. Notes You must obtain or have a Class A Commercial Driver s License within 90 days of hire. A pre-employment drug test is required.
