NEW HIGHER SALARY 41 429 - 72 500 The ChallengeWe are looking for an senior Engineering Technician to join our Sanford Resident Engineering team to lead project inspections of roadway and structure projects. In this role you will Conduct independent moderate to complex inspections. Conduct samplings and materials testings. Perform analysis of engineering data. Supervise junior Technicians and Contractors. Perform highway construction surveying and layout. Complete daily dairies sample cards asphalt report NPDES reports material received forms survey notes and monthly estimates. What You BringExperience analyzing and interpreting highway construction plans. Experience planning developing scheduling tracking and completing projects independently or with limited supervision. Customer service experience related to solving problems involving explaining complicated engineering concepts to customers. Experience applying engineering concepts to solve complex problems. Strong teamwork skills. Working knowledge of construction related math calculations electronics equipment and computers. Knowledge and understanding of NCDOT concepts practices and theories. NotesYou may be exposed to high traffic volumes work at heights over water or traffic and work in extreme temperatures. You may be required to work nights weekends and or holidays. Safety toe shoes required. Education & ExperienceAssociate s degree in Civil Engineering Technology Survey Technology or a related field and 3 years relevant technician-level experience or An equivalent combination of training and experience.
