And we were recently named as one of America s Most Loved Workplaces 2022 by Newsweek Job DescriptionAs Maintenance Technician your chief responsibility will be to preserve the excellent condition and operational readiness of our facility in Detroit MI. This will include conducting diagnostic assessments scheduling and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment. You ll develop preventative maintenance procedures document completed work orders and perform other assignments to ensure a safe clean healthy and efficient facility. This is a physically active role requiring the ability to maneuver around heavy equipment including bending climbing crawling manual dexterity and frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing approximately 40 pounds. If you are a Jack or Jill of all trades with a strong knowledge of electrical carpentry and plumbing this position would be a perfect fit for you Primary Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on conveyors HVAC roofing and other related items around the location Conducting diagnostic assessments scheduling and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment. Perform tasks for the upkeep of buildings and grounds Utilize carpentry plumbing electrical and mechanical skills for minor repairs Perform preventive maintenance of pumps and motors Ability to read manuals to assist in repairs Always maintain a clean and pristine work area Develop preventative maintenance procedures document completed work orders and perform other assignments to ensure a safe clean healthy and efficient facility. Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
