In this role you will Service and repair mechanical systems of gas diesel automotive and heavy equipment. Perform skilled mechanic work including Preventive Maintenance Tires and Tubes Wheel & Rims Cranking Systems Lighting Systems Cooling Systems Fuel Systems and Hydraulic Systems. prepare and maintain paperwork relating to employment equipment repair inventory and service records. Move parts and materials to repair and maintain equipment. Safely operate equipment for testing. What You BringA complete set of mechanic tools. Class A Commercial Driver s License with Tanker (N) endorsement. (If you don t have this still apply. You can get it through our on-the-job training within 360 days of hire). Experience performing preventive maintenance on 1 of the following light medium heavy-duty trucks and heavy equipment. Experience diagnosing basic electrical systems and performing proper wiring repairs. Basic hydraulic system repair experience including component replacement and hoses. Troubleshooting and repair experience on 1 of one of the following light medium heavy duty or farm equipment brake components. Knowledge of diagnostic software tools and equipment for trucks and heavy equipment. Ability to perform duties of position in accordance with all safety regulations. Communications skills to understand written and verbal instructions. A commitment to provide safe working environment by leading by example. Ability to read and interpret Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals. Safety toe shoes. NotesWe will conduct a pre-employment drug screening and background check for your past 3 years about controlled substances and alcohol testing. We may require current certification by the EPA as a Type I II III or Universal Technician. You will need to work in bad weather such as snow and or ice tornadoes hurricanes etc. that can lead to working extended daily hours weekends and holidays.
