NEW HIGHER SALARY 76 290 - 148 765 The ChallengeWe are looking for a senior Environmental Engineer to manage and lead our Monitoring & Stewardship group in our Environmental Analysis unit that supports the development of sustainable transportation infrastructure minimizing our impact on the human and natural environment. In this role you will Supervise and manage our Monitoring and Stewardship group that plans designs constructs monitors and leads the stewardship of NCDOT on-site stream wetland and buffer mitigation sites statewide. Manage and supervise a group of engineers responsible for delivery of on-site mitigation design plans. Manage and supervise the NCDOT s On-site Mitigation Monitoring and Mitigation Stewardship programs. Manage Private Engineering Firms contracts involving scope of work estimates project management tasks scheduling budgets invoicing and evaluations. Coordinate and communicate with State and Federal Environmental Agencies regarding permit compliance related to our On-site Mitigation Program. Assist Environmental Analysis staff with group budgets special projects and other assignments. What You BringExperience with the principals and practices of environmental engineering relating to natural stream wetland and buffer design and monitoring. Knowledge of Federal and State laws pertaining to environmental matters (specifically Compensatory Mitigation) as well as Federal Highway Administration regulations relating to other aspects of highway planning design and construction. Experience managing performance monitoring of Compensatory Mitigation Sites to meet State and Federal Permitting Requirements. Experience managing Stewardship of Compensatory Mitigation properties. Experience supervising 3 permanent employees contractors and or consultants. Education and ExperienceBachelor s degree in engineering and 5 years of relevant experience and 3 years of supervisory experience or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
