Care Giver Community Support (Lancaster & Palmdale) Jay Nolan Community Services is a non-profit agency and supports adults & children with Autism and other developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible in their homes as well as in their communities. Currently we have three open (part-time) positions in the Antelope Valley region PALMDALE supporting a young adult male Evenings (awake) 7pm to 2am every Tues. Thurs & Saturday...the schedule of days may change. LANCASTER (2 positions each position requires supporting a female). 1st position Mon Tues & Fri 3p-8p & the schedule can be flexible however this position requires someone fluent in American Sign Language. 2nd position Saturday & Sunday a few hours each day.QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for individuals who have experience supporting individuals with Autism and or other developmental disabilities including challenging behaviors. The Palmdale position requires an individual who is animal friendly & not allergic to cats or dogs. The Community Direct Care Support person provides individual support such as problem solving companionship guidance and assistance with everyday living to an individual in his her home and community. You will have a willingness to be hands on in assisting the person being supported with household tasks budgeting organizing as well as encouraging the person to plan & participate in outdoor activities in the community. A valid driver s license good driving record current auto insurance and a reliable vehicle are required.
