Sales Floor Supervisor Trainee

DAV Thrift Stores is currently seeking a Sales Floor Supervisor Trainee that is personable responsible goal oriented and reliable with a positive attitude and a commitment to quality. Classification Full-time Location Virginia Beach Responsibilities This list is not inclusive other duties may be assigned as needed for the good order and function of the store. Strong knowledge of and experience in cash register operations. Strong knowledge of and experience in store operations such as floor organization display pricing markdown furniture. Responsible for the supervisory control of cashiers floor persons. Supervise cashiers as they deal with customers and their transactions. Supervise the opening and closing of cash drawers tills preparation of cashier worksheets balancing and securing the monies preparation of Daily Sales Reports. Evaluate the performance of employees and complete any necessary paperwork with the Store Manager. Develop the plan of the day week with the Store Manager. Train new sales floor employees with the Store Manager. Be the role model for customer service in the store. Key Competencies Physical Requirements Must be neat and clean at all times. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Strong organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff. Ability to read write calculate and complete all necessary paperwork. Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis. Excellent organizational and time management skills Working Conditions Physical Requirements Must be able to stand walk reach and bend. Light lifting is required. Works primarily in retail sales environment but goes into and out of a warehouse area so care is required and safety is a consideration.
